Dark Souls' HundoDex

Dark Souls Bosses Checklist

All 26 bosses in Dark Souls: Remastered with where to find them, weaknesses, souls and rewards. Tick them off as you go.

  • Asylum Demon – Northern Undead Asylum. Weak to Lightning, Fire, plunging attacks. Open the second fight with a plunging attack from the ledge for big damage. Its hammer drops only if you beat it on the first meeting.
  • Taurus Demon – Undead Burg. Weak to Lightning, plunging attacks. Climb the tower ladder behind you on the bridge and plunge onto it. May rarely drop the Demon's Greataxe.
  • Bell Gargoyles – Undead Parish. Weak to Fire, Lightning. A second gargoyle joins halfway through, so deal damage fast. Cut the first one's tail for the Gargoyle Tail Axe. Solaire can be summoned.
  • Capra Demon – Lower Undead Burg. Weak to Lightning, Fire. Run up the stairs on the left at once to escape the two dogs, kill them, then fight the demon. Drops the Key to Depths.
  • Gaping Dragon – Depths. Weak to Lightning. Slow but hits hard; strike its legs and stay away from its charge. Cut the tail for the Dragon King Greataxe.
  • Chaos Witch Quelaag – Quelaag's Domain. Weak to Lightning, arrows to the human body. Stay at her side away from the lava spit and wait for openings. Fire does nothing to her. Maneater Mildred can be summoned.
  • Moonlight Butterfly – Darkroot Garden. Weak to Physical, Lightning. Shoot it while it hovers and hit it hard when it lands on the bridge. Witch Beatrice can be summoned.
  • Great Grey Wolf Sif – Darkroot Garden. Weak to Fire, Lightning, Bleed. Stay under Sif near the left front paw to avoid most sword sweeps. Drops the Covenant of Artorias, needed to fight the Four Kings.
  • Iron Golem – Sen's Fortress. Weak to Lightning, attacks to the ankles. Attack its ankles until it staggers, then stay off the edges. Iron Knight Tarkus can be summoned.
  • Ornstein and Smough – Anor Londo. Weak to Lightning (Smough), Fire (Ornstein). Use the pillars to split them up. Whoever dies last absorbs the other and drops its soul (Ornstein also the Leo Ring), so you get only one per cycle.
  • Stray Demon – Northern Undead Asylum. Weak to Lightning, Bleed. Waits under the collapsing floor when you return to the Asylum. Stick to its tail end; it drops a Titanite Slab.
  • Four Kings – The Abyss. Weak to Lightning, Fire. Wear the Covenant of Artorias. Kings keep spawning every so often, so deal heavy damage fast and keep your health high.
  • Crossbreed Priscilla – Painted World of Ariamis. Weak to Fire, Lightning. She will not attack unless provoked, and you may simply leave. Her lifehunt scythe causes bleed, and she turns invisible once hit.
  • Dark Sun Gwyndolin – Anor Londo. Weak to Physical, Fire. Close the gap down the illusory corridor, ducking behind the pillars to dodge his magic arrows. Killing him locks you out of the Darkmoon covenant.
  • Seath the Scaleless – Crystal Cave. Weak to Fire, Lightning. Smash the Primordial Crystal behind him first or he cannot die. Fight from his sides and under his tail; his breath causes curse.
  • Ceaseless Discharge – Demon Ruins. Weak to Magic, Physical. Grab the gold-hemmed set behind him to start the fight, then lure him to the fog gate edge and hit his arm, or run back to the gate.
  • Demon Firesage – Demon Ruins. Weak to Lightning, Bleed. A fiery cousin of the Asylum Demon. Keep behind it, roll away from its fire burst and use the Demon's Catalyst it drops later.
  • Centipede Demon – Demon Ruins. Weak to Physical, Magic. Cut off its arms and tail to make it weaker; the tail drops the Orange Charred Ring, which lets you walk on lava longer.
  • Bed of Chaos – Lost Izalith. Weak to Any (it is a puzzle fight). Break the two glowing roots on the sides, then drop through the hole and hit the bug in the middle. Progress stays saved if you die.
  • Pinwheel – The Catacombs. Weak to Physical, Fire, Lightning. A weak boss that clones itself. Rush it down before it summons too many copies. Drops the Rite of Kindling and one of its masks.
  • Gravelord Nito – Tomb of the Giants. Weak to Fire, Divine weapons. Lure Nito away from his skeletons, kill those with a divine weapon, and dodge his miasma and sword slams.
  • Sanctuary Guardian (Artorias of the Abyss) – Sanctuary Garden. Weak to Physical, Bleed. Watch for its lightning breath and jumping slams. Cut its tail for the Guardian Tail.
  • Knight Artorias (Artorias of the Abyss) – Battle of Stoicism. Weak to Physical, Fire. Fast and relentless. Interrupt him while he powers up with the Abyss, and roll through his flips rather than away from them.
  • Black Dragon Kalameet (Artorias of the Abyss) – Royal Wood. Weak to Physical. Ask Hawkeye Gough to shoot him down first. Stay near his side, avoid the cursing eye, and cut his tail for the Obsidian Greatsword.
  • Manus, Father of the Abyss (Artorias of the Abyss) – Chasm of the Abyss. Weak to Physical, Fire. Keep the Silver Pendant ready for his dark magic rain. Sif can be summoned if you saved the pup.
  • Gwyn, Lord of Cinder – Kiln of the First Flame. Weak to Physical, Magic. Aggressive but parryable. Learn the parry timing or stay behind him; once he falls choose an ending at the bonfire or the exit.
