Undead Burg
A walled town of hollow soldiers above Firelink. Home to the Taurus Demon, the bridge-guarding Hellkite and the Sunlight Altar.

- Broken Straight Sword: Uncommon drop from sword-carrying Hollows in Undead Burg, the Depths and similar areas.
- Drake Sword: Sever the Hellkite Wyvern's tail on the Undead Burg bridge, e.g. with arrows shot from under the bridge.
- Claymore: On a corpse on the Hellkite Wyvern's bridge in Undead Burg.
- Uchigatana: Sold by Shiva of the East; also dropped by the Undead Merchant (male) if you kill him.
- Light Crossbow: On a balcony in upper Undead Burg reached by jumping across from a rooftop.
- Wooden Shield: On a corpse behind a door just before the first Undead Burg bonfire.
- Hollow Soldier Shield: Rare drop from shield-carrying Undead Soldiers (Undead Burg, Undead Parish).
- Hollow Warrior Helm: Uncommon drop from Hollow Warriors.
- Hollow Warrior Armor: Uncommon drop from Hollow Warriors.
- Hollow Warrior Waistcloth: Uncommon drop from Hollow Warriors.
- Hollow Soldier Helm: Uncommon drop from Undead Soldiers.

- Havel's Ring: Dropped by Havel the Rock in the watchtower between Undead Burg and Darkroot Basin.
- Blue Tearstone Ring: On a balcony guarded by a Black Knight in Undead Burg; jump down from the bridge area.
- Residence Key: Buy from the Undead Merchant in the Undead Burg for 1,000 souls.
- Dried Finger: Buy from the Undead Merchant in the Undead Burg for 2,000 souls (Remastered).
- White Sign Soapstone: Given by Solaire of Astora when you meet him in the Undead Burg.
Walkthrough: Undead Burg
- Be careful: the Hellkite sometimes swoops overhead, and a hollow archer waits on the stairs ahead.
- If you would rather have his loot than his shop, slay the Undead Merchant (Male) for the Uchigatana, Residence Key, Orange Guidance Soapstone and Humanity.
- Or keep him alive and buy what you need: Orange Guidance Soapstone, Residence Key, Bottomless Box, Repairbox, Standard Arrows and Lloyd's Talismans for later mimics.
- The first streets hold souls, Throwing Knives, a Light Crossbow with bolts, Rubbish and Humanity.
- Below the first archer is a door; the Wooden Shield is inside.
- Light the Undead Burg bonfire in the building after the first bridge.
- Black Firebombs and Gold Pine Resin lie nearby.
- A second archer waits in the tower beyond the bonfire area.
- Below, a Black Knight guards a Titanite Chunk and the Blue Tearstone Ring.
- On the stairs up the tower a barrel will be rolled down at you; let it pass.
- Climbing the tower, look under the barrels for a Crystal Lizard; kill it fast for Twinkling Titanite.
- Pass the fog gate and climb the ladder in the tower to take out the two archers before the boss fight.
- Fight the Taurus Demon: climb the tower ladder behind you on the bridge and plunge onto it with a two-handed attack.
- Optional co-op: help other players with this boss for souls and Humanity (best around levels 5–10).
- A soul is tucked behind a crate in the tower.
- Talk to Solaire of Astora on the rampart to the right and say yes twice to receive the White Sign Soapstone.
- Only if you never want his help: kill Solaire for the Sunlight Straight Sword, Iron and Sun Set pieces, Sunlight Shield and Sunlight Talisman.
- Cross the Hellkite bridge carefully: run to the middle and dart down the stairs before the flames reach you.
- Kick down the ladder at the bottom to open a shortcut back to the Undead Burg bonfire.
- From under the bridge, shoot the Hellkite's tail with arrows until it drops off for the Drake Sword.
- Climb back up and sprint across the bridge after the Hellkite lands and breathes fire.
- Light the Sunlight Altar bonfire under the bridge. With enough Faith you can join the Warrior of Sunlight covenant here. Then open the gate to the Parish.
- The bridge itself has souls and the Claymore.
- Continue into the Undead Parish.
